1. So usually I kind of dread buying new running shoes… because buying new running shoes means breaking in new running shoes. But yesterday at Boston Running Company in Newton, which hosted our DFMC group run, I spotted the new version of my beloved Mizuno Wave Inspires. AND THEY COME IN HOT PINK. Win.
Last year Justin bought two pairs of the same shoe so he could rotate them in and out and not have to buy a second pair halfway through training. I stuck with one and bought a second pair just in time for the 20 miler, which, of course, made me terrified that they weren’t going to be broken in. (Looking back, I don’t think they actually were broken in as much as they could be in time for the marathon.)
Do you guys prefer to do two pairs of shoes on a rotation or one pair at a time? What do you suggest?
